21M here, just wanted to say, I know the dating scene sucks right now. Don’t give up, focus on yourself, work on your hobbies, work and hone your craft.After several attempts that have failed when I chased and other failed attempts at online dating (I wouldn’t even recommend it) I met a girl at a friend’s 21st, didn’t expect anything of it and just had fun that night. By the end of the night we were bonding over music after one of us sneakily stole aux from the party and just vibed together. We didn’t talk for a couple of weeks until we met up at a bar with a few friends and immediately picked up where we left off, this happened a couple of times. Last night we went on a date after she (though she claims it was me) basically asked for us to go out a date last weekend. It went amazing, even if it doesn’t work out, I’m happy it happened, though all signs point to something amazing. She’s beautiful, bubbly, hilarious and driven. I just wanted to say, do your thing, learn to love yourself and just be patient. I’m not saying don’t jump on an opportunity when you see a girl you like, but the best things happen when you least expect them. Just wanted to share my experience.
