…but gender flipped. I (24f) liked a guy (29m) on Hinge. Honestly he’s 110% my type and checks a lot of other superficial boxes, so I was ecstatic when he accepted my “like” and matched with me, hitting me with the “John Doe has invited you to start the chat”. I started the chat with an observation about a shared interest, then asked how his quarantine has been. Have not heard back.
I’m getting ahead of myself here because I’m going to give him more time to respond—it was a few days after I liked him that we matched, so I’m assuming he doesn’t check his Hinge much. But my nervous romantic brain would like to send a second message in a week or so if I don’t hear from him—is this reasonable or desperate? What should a second message say, ideally?
