I’ve seen a lot of posts recently about how women don’t owe men an explanation for ghosting them or suddenly losing interest or what have you.
I understand that women fear for their safety when meeting someone new. However if your date wasn’t a complete ass and you just weren’t feeling it why can’t you let them know via text when you are safe in your own home?
When did it become the standard to treat the well adjusted men out there like they ran over your dog?
If your date was a satchel of richards then by all means do your worst!
If he was kind, and attentive but you weren’t into him do the right thing and use your words.
Part of the problem I believe, is that we’ve all become jaded by our own piss poor dating experiences. I’ll break down my numbers for you: I’m a 25 year old male I’ve never had a girlfriend but I’ve gone on plenty of dates. I can safely say that only two of them went so well as to cause me to think to myself “hey maybe there’s something here.” Of course life got in the way and for reasons beyond my control I never found out if my thought was right.
On the other hand, I’ve had so many bad experiences while dating I could write a book on the subject, no one would buy it but I could write it. Do those bad experiences keep me from going on dates? No.
I’ll tell you what might though. The lack of basic communication skills. What is it with my generation? Are we all just socially inept? Sometimes I like to think about what would happen if my generation suddenly got zapped back in time to the 1950’s, no one would know what to do without our beloved technology and none of us would talk to each other.
