Think of dating apps like job posting sites

Dating is just like getting a job.

I apply to multiple jobs (profiles). Some like my resume (connect), others don't (pass).

For the ones that like my resume, some invite me to interview (Q&A->in-person date). Some interviews have multiple rounds (2nd, 3rd, Nth dates). Some interviews have multiple interviewers (meeting the friends). Regardless, in these early stages interviewing (dating) multiple people is quite fine, in my opinion.

Whatever the interview approach, the job description (what I/they want in a partner) and growth potential (future plans) should be discussed and agreed upon. None of this "duties as assigned" (unresolved baggage) business.

But once payment is discussed (love/sex preferences), that's a good indicator that I've got the job. Amount (vanilla), frequency (frequency), benefits (lovey dovey), and perks (fun!) are negotiated of course. Note that payment structure is a modest base plus commission (variable) and NOT salary (entitled).

Still background checks are performed (meeting the fam) before paperwork is signed (moving in together and/or getting married).

Once hired, performance reviews (communication) are done regularly to ensure targets (mutual life goals) are being met. And remember, promotions (love/sex upgrades) come with additional responsibilities (updates to "job description" above) and are not a given.

Thoughts?
