For starters, I’m a early 30’s male and I’ve done online dating, met people in real life, done both casual and long term relationships. Currently single and doing online dating casually in terms of trying to find someone I really click with for a relationship and not purely looking for just a hook up. One of the sticking points for me which seems to be negatively affecting my dating is that I want to see if we are actually intimately compatible before we jump into a committed relationship. However, based on chatting with potential dates on the apps and via some actual in person dates, it feels like most want a commitment before having sex/being more intimate. It’s perfectly fine to have different value sets and ideals but I was hoping to understand others mindset since being intimately compatible is a big part of long term relationship success to me. Thoughts?
Should note I’m not reaching to those they are abstaining due to religious values or anything of that nature either.
