Long story short I’ve been in a long distance situationship for 9 months now we are both 21. (Yes I know I shouldn’t be seeing someone this long without a title but in my defence out of those 9 months we’ve only saw each other probably 5-7 times in person but we talk every day) With the pandemic going on and everything my plans to finally meet up with him is on pause till restrictions start getting lifted. However, the pandemic is starting to show his true colours. When the pandemic first started he would text me back super fast we would talk all day, then when our university classes ended it’s like he did a 180. How can someone that is at home with no job take 1-8 hours to respond to a text? So I expressed how I felt and then he told me that he would be absent through text because he’s trying to find things to do but if I wanted to talk on the phone I could just call him, however when I did call him our calls would only last 30 mins when they used to be at least 3 hours because now he always has an excuse to leave the call. So I stopped calling him and guess what he hasn’t called me once and it’s been two weeks since we were on FaceTime and before we couldn’t go a week without being on FaceTime one of us would cave in and call. So I’m asking for advice on how to stop caring? cause clearly he doesn’t care about my feelings or time, and is probably stringing me along. Yes he did tell me he would be absent from texts but if he’s actively posting on Snapchat from time to time or sending snap streaks it means he saw my texts.
