Update: So after not getting any kind of reply for ~a month, I'm realizing I probably dropped the ball. Even if she's lost interest I want to at least try one more time, at least to get it off my chest. What can I say in a text to hopefully get her talking again? I was thinking of saying something along the lines of "I have a dog (I just got a puppy), you've got a dog. Dog park date sometime soon?"
Or, since restaurants near me are able to do outdoor seating now, should I just ask her out for a sushi date like we had originally planned?
I know I'm probably way overthinking this, but oh well.
Here's the original/situation:
I'd been talking to a girl from my work (different departments, same building). I've had a thing for her for a while, and people started making comments about how we should just date already. Finally worked up the courage to ask her out. She blushed, smiled a ton, and seemed really into it when she said yes. She seemed really excited and into it. She was out of town that weekend (months ago) so I asked her the following week if we were still on. She said she wanted to but that her friends from out of town were coming to see her, which just seemed like a wishy-washy way of saying no.
So I let it go. I was pleasant when I saw her at work the next week. People again told me that we were very flirty when we were talking though. Then the Covid lockdown started, worked closed, and I didn't see her.
No contact until she texted me out of the blue to tell me I looked hot in a video I posted, and asked me out for whenever the lockdown was over. I was pumped so I said I was in. I figured she's actually into me so I tried talking to her again, with very little response. Like I texted her to wish her a happy Easter and that I hoped to see her soon, and she never replied.
TLDR: Basically I'm into this girl, she's into me. Is she just a HORRIBLE texter? Or is she not interested now?
