We all know it’s better to be single than in a bad relationship, but would you rather be single or in an average-quality relationship?

By "average-quality" I mean a relationship that doesn't have anything inherently wrong with it, but you dont feel yourself particularly excited to go out with that person and although neither party is a bad influence on the other, neither do they inspire the other to self-improve.
