We had fun breaking up

3 year relationship. We first broke up over the phone because she didn’t know how she felt anymore, she wasn’t sure if she loved me and I told her we shouldn’t be together if I loved her and she didn’t know how she felt.

We hadn’t seen each other for a month because of the quarantine so we decided to see each other to say goodbye.

Man, we had the weirdest breakup. We had so many laughs, even took a “breakup selfie”. We told each other what we where missing in the relationship. We both agreed we where taking the relationship for granted.

We kept saying each other’s pet names by mistake. She told me she did love me but she didn’t want to “settle” for the love we where having. We kissed and hugged goodbye. We had the best conversarion we have had in the last two years.

It didn’t feel like a breakup. It felt like we had fixed our problems.

We haven’t had any contact since, it’s been a week.

Thing is, I’ve always been the one who chases after her. She usually pushes me away and I’m the one after her.

Am I doing the right thing to let her go?

I do love her and want to be with her, but not unless she is 100% committed.

EDIT: Im 24M she’s 22F
