I want to create this post so the lovely people on this subgroup who are dating can see examples of positive signs in the person they are seeing.
Some I can include are:
-Listening actively and asking follow up questions
-Remembering what you say in past conversations, maybe even the little things
-compliments about personality/appearance (not negging or backhanded insults that sound like a compliment but actually are not)
-arriving on time, and if they are late, they will inform you of it. Basically respecting YOUR time.
-Actively trying to ask you to another date or wanting to see you again
-timely text replies and calls, no ghosting for a few days, weeks, or months. A few days can be alright in some rare instances like travel…
-will NOT hurt you in any way
-will respect your boundaries. Period.
That’s what I can think of at the top of my head right now. Of course, do not treat this like a checklist, these are just some examples of green flags. Please feel free to add to this discussion. I have seen way too many cases of abuse and sad situations posted on reddit and I would just really like to help anyone who needs the advice!
