I met someone on a dating app during the lockdown and we've videochatted a handful of times and met up once briefly from a distance. I'm feeling very confused in terms of not feeling like I know enough about him and not being sure if there's chemistry or not. At first when we talked online I thought there was a lot of chemistry. In-person I felt like I was less sure, but really I feel like I just didn't spend enough time or get close enough to know. It didn't help that I couldn't see his face. I don't mean hooking up with him, I just want to be able to look at someone up-close and spend time close to them to feel what it is like.
But that's out of the picture now until indefinitely. I don't know what I'm dealing with and am nervous about getting too attached to someone online (which I definitely 100% do and can't stop) if there isn't chemistry in-person. I'm higher risk so I don't want to get close in-person. What can we do? Any ideas on how to get the best sense for someone without actually being able to meet up much?
Thanks!
