What does it mean when you call a guy looks cute but with 0 interaction.

I am 18m and gets called cute all the time by the girls I never met before, sometimes straight up to my face and they leave immediately. Or they talk “he is so cute to their friends but I can hear them. Sometimes I will talk to them but they seems shy just keep running from the conversation. I am not great at talking but not a shy person either. what does that mean for me, do I have a problem or just being insecure. I have heard being called cute is a sign of friend zoned and it’s bothering me a lot lately since I got nothing to do.
