This sounds a bit strange to even be asking this to be honest but, I (24M) had a first date the other day all went quite well I think considering it's my second since ending a 4 year relationship in sept last year. Only thing was the girl I was with (22F) said that I wasn't asking any questions (having previously said ask me something you haven't asked anyone before, and I struggled to).
It was a fair assessment, I wasn't. My brain locked up at this, no idea what to say. I then after that could feel myself throwing out way too many questions, of varying nature i.e serious/funny (kinda like this guy: https://youtu.be/9S1EzkRpelY ). The date was still good and we're going to hang out again as friends but this really rocked me.
It's made me think, I don't even know what I want to know about someone. For me usually I'm quite content to see if I just get on with somebody and take it from there.
What kind of things do people normally ask on first dates? What's not ok to ask? What do you usually like to find out about someone?
