There's someone I work with who I had talked to every morning for probably about a month. She'd always take out her earbuds and have a conversation with me. I kind of realized she probably was interested in me, and she just recently gotten out of a long term relationship. We both share a number of interests and I'd be lying not to say I was really interested in her. We talked about what was going on in our lives for a few minutes every morning. This past week I decided to ask her out to lunch, and to my surprise she said yes.
That day comes, and right at lunch time, she says we should take a rain check, she had something to get. I was a little awkward about it.
That was 3 days ago. Since then, the talking has dropped off, and this morning, she didn't say anything at all to me.
I don't know how to feel about this, it's pretty crushing because in 5 years, I haven't met someone I was so interested in. What would be best to do in my situation if I still want a chance? Am I likely to still have one?
