What would you do?

I’ve (45m) been dating this beautiful woman (44f) for five months. We both divorced from long marriages last year. Things have been great as we see each other about every other day. Our connection from the start has been amazing and have been exclusively seeing each other. Here’s the thing though – her mixed signals are driving me crazy.

She has asked repeatedly would I have any more kids and that our baby would be beautiful. I keep telling her no and then she brushes it off as a joke. When I’ve asked where does she see herself in 5 years without hesitation she said “married to you” She is constantly giving me words of affection and affirmation and we are all over each other like teenagers when we are together. I’ve met her entire family and she has stated that her kids love me. So all that is amazing and telling me she wants this long term right? BUT-

She has said she doesn’t know if she’s able to love again. Her marriage was abusive and she moved across country to start a new life. She said she is thinking about moving back to her home state. When she said this it hit me like a ton of bricks and she said “don’t be sad it doesn’t mean I’m going to do it.” She has said she doesn’t know what she wants. She said I’m the only one she wants to pursue ( her words) and she deleted all her dating apps. But she said she doesn’t want to define the relationship. Another mixed signal.

Now I’ve never pressed her to talk about defining anything. It’s her that brings it up. When she told me she doesn’t know what she wants she asked me can we just keep “ going with the flow” The problem I have with that is that I feel like I’m already falling for her. The more I see her the more feelings are going to develop. I’m Trying hard not to get hurt but I feel I’m already in too deep.

But her mixed signals is messing me up in my head.

Do I keep going with the flow? Do I end it before I end up falling in love and getting hurt because she may never know what she wants? What would you do?
