What’s your definition of "consistent communication" on a dating app and how soon do you give up on a match?

What is your personal expectation in regards to consistent communication with a match on a dating app?

In my mind, the best match conversations are the ones where it feels like the person on the other end is fully present (and it's especially more of a connected feeling if you're both using the app and chatting at the same time,) responds within 24 hours, and has something of substance to say.

The ones that range from mediocre to lackluster, to just not good can be match conversations where the person sends a short flurry of responses at the same time each day, and when you respond, it's as if they've left you on read for the next day to do it again, and of course, the usual suspects of breadcrumbing or taking more than 48 hours to reply back, which to me are all hard hints of no interest, so move on and unmatch.

I've been approaching conversations in a more hard ball manner lately where if a match leaves me on read for three full days, I unmatch. That amount of silence tends to be all the answer I need to know to interpret a lack of interest, and in the past, I've maybe been too lenient about that, but I'm at the point where I feel like for my own self-preservation, I need to expect a communication cadence that's better than that from matches.
