When texting becomes a question mark in his interest level.

So I [27F] met a guy [27M] on tinder a couple months ago. We have been texting and talking constantly every day but the problem I noticed is that he doesn’t start the texting. I always do. And if I don’t text that day, he wouldn’t text. Does this mean he’s not interested in me and is just being nice? Strangely we really hit it off and I thought things were going good. And I don’t wanna ask him straight up and scare him away. Any advise??
