When you ask for closure, what is the question you need an answer to?

I'm not going through this but in the dating conversation you hear the word closure a lot. I'm not really someone who asks for a closure and I'm not really sure what people mean. If someone has broken up with you, what is the question you typically want to ask for closure?

After it's ended, I'm not sure what else needs to be discussed. Just trying to understand the perspective.
