I (F22) was with a guy (M23) for three years and he SUCKED at ever telling me I he thought I looked nice or ever telling me I did something well or was good at something, I got so fed up as he never showed any appreciation that I broke up with him (this was not the main reason but 1 of a thousand). I'm now talking to this new guy every day and he seems pretty into me, but I'm already getting the vibe he's rubbish at complimenting.
I'm always complimenting the guy I'm in a relationship with bc I genuinely love boosting their egos and telling them they did really well at something or that I think they are hot.
I've spoken to my brothers and both of them tell me that they regularly compliment their girlfriends, 'pretty much everyday'….?!
So whats the deal here guys? do men struggle to compliment or is it just the insecure ones? I need words of affirmation to feel loved but most men a bloody crap at it.
