I know this is a common problem a lot of girls have but my mind can’t get over it. During quarantine I’ve been talking to this guy who lives a few states away. We webcam, talk on phone, send pictures, etc. We talk a lot, almost everyday he initiates conversation. We watch films together which is basically us watching the same movie while chatting on Facebook chat about It as if we were actually watching and whispering about it irl.
We talk about how excited we are to meet when this Is all over, he comments a lot on how beautiful and smart I am, what type of activities we’ll do, etc. It’s been making me very excited. We’re also sexually attracted to each other so sometimes we talk about that stuff. It seems like everything is going great, we’re madly very into each other, have lots to talk about, and everything.
Out of nowhere, he just stopped talking really and kinda pulled out. It was so sudden and it made me feel nervous, as if I did something wrong. I asked about it and he said, “Maybe it’s difficult for me to get close to someone :(“. A few day’s later, I ask him about it and whether there’s something I can do to help him. I also ask whether I did something wrong. He responds, “hey. You did nothing wrong. I’m sorry. 🙁 just give me a bit of time.” I also ask him whether he’ll go back to how we used to talk and he says “yeah I think so”. He’s a competitive chess player and had an online tournament recently so that may have been stressful on him, so I am thinking about that potentially being a reason for him suddenly pulling back.
We haven’t really been talking like we used to since Mid-May. I have been giving him his space but it’s been confusing me what’s his thought profess is in why he feels he needs to do something. I’m nervous he lost interest even though he seemed to be very interested not very long before. 🙁 any advice?
