Hi guys,
I'm a 20-something female and have been using dating apps and gone to a few first dates with guys in their early to mid 20s, and many of them don't ask me any, or barely any question – my opinion on things, or even just about me. Why!? Aren't you meeting up with me so that you can get to know me? It's baffling because for me when they only talk about themselves it's boring and is a huge turn off. Guys who don't ask, what's going in your mind?
Some of my guesses:
- I'm just giving off such a shallow, basic and boring vibe that there is nothing about me that intrigues guys to ask me anything. My opinion doesn't matter to them. (But then why bother meeting up then?)
- They're completely oblivious about the fact that they're not asking me any question. It's a pure lack of social skills, and they don't even know they should ask questions to get to know someone.
- They are just shy (which is not convincing because men who tend not to ask me anything are often the masculine, privileged, well-educated, independent men)
Does any of this apply?
Thanks in advance!
