I've seen many posts here on Reddit where people would break up or stop seeing each other as they move away geographically. I've recently had a personal experience as well — met an amazing woman whom I got along amazingly well with, except that we live 15,000 km away from each other and without any immediate future plans to move closer. Unfortunately, one day she kind of started fading on me.
Why wouldn't more people take a chance on LDR? If it were up to me — and I'm probably a hopeless romantic — I'd do anything and I'll wait for love. Even if it means reorganizing some of my life's priorities or waiting for years to be physically reunited with that special person. And probably a bit naive, but I somehow believe that when there is a will, there will always be a way. Hence, I personally can't always identify with stories where people really like each other, have to move far away and just started to stop seeing each other.
What are your thoughts?
