I (20f) identify as asexual, meaning I'm not SEXUALLY attracted to people or have sexual desires. I, however, can be sensually attracted to someone or romantically attracted, I just don't want to have sex with them. I've never liked kissing or thinking about sex, but that doesn't mean I've never done it. I have, but I really don't want to do it again, nor do I plan on it. As I'm still romantically attracted to people and not aromantic, I still want a relationship. One where we go on dates and everything that a romantic couple would do, just subtracting all the sexual things. (You know those G and PG tv show and movie couples where they are lovey to each other and perfect for one another, that's what I want and envision for myself.) I am currently on dating apps and trying to date, but I'm still struggling approaching my sexual identity with potential dates. I'm scared if I bring it up they'll judge me and not want to date me anymore, but I also want to be true to myself and not hide who I am. I just hear jokes sometimes that asexual people while be forever alone and I really don't want that to be me. How can I get over my reservations and be honest about my sexuality to potential dates?
Will people accept me for who I am and not judge me for not wanting to have sex?
Am I just weird and abnormal because I want a relationship without the sex?
I'm fearful for my dating future, any advice or help would be great ?
