I’m 27 female and he’s 25 male. I had lied and said I needed his tutoring services for our science class just to get close to him. So our messages were ALL about school and projects initially and NOT flirtatious at all. I’m actually the one who started flirting with him first & hinting about dating. I found out from social media he’s single so I asked if he’d like to go out for a drink when the summer starts. He said “Yeah I’m totally down. If places aren’t open yet though, I’m down for a hike If you are?”
So I felt like that was a decent indication he was interested in getting to know me. We agreed to hike after the semester ends in a few weeks.
It’s been a few days and he hasn’t texted me or mentioned trails or anything else since then. I don’t wanna come off needy or thirsty so I’m not texting him either.
Should I wait till the semester ends to hit him up? Or is it okay to text to see how he’s doing in between them? I just don’t want him thinking I’m needy or desperate or anything. Guys are ALWAYS the ones who are chasing me and texting me daily, this is the first guy who’s been kinda distant and hard to read. So I’m trying to be firm but chill too.
