Hello boys & girls, ladies & gentlemen, we gather here today to discuss a most grievous issue — the common misconception some women have that men in general love to be the ones to approach. This is incorrect. If this criterion pertains to you then it is in your best interest to stop operating under this assumption post-haste.
Men, like women, should not be generalized. Some men may prefer a chase. Some. Just like some women like blonde hair and blue eyes while some prefer dark and mysterious. We're all complex creatures with a multitude of preferences and tastes. To assume that men 'just' love approaching women is reductive and simplistic.
Here's the thing — every time I see men make posts in the vein of mine (they're incredibly successful). They always receive thousands of upvotes. Ladies, I believe the men are trying to hint something to you here. If you like a man then approach him. Don't wait for him to approach you and then assume he is uninterested if he doesn't approach.
At the end of the day, this seems to be a contentious issue, and a lot of women always feel like they're being lectured at. At the end of the day, you're all ultimately free to do whatever you feel comfortable doing (nobody is telling you what to do here). And I don't expect the social dynamics to magically change from this post.
But take this as some friendly food for thought — you're only hurting yourself by not approaching a guy you like. So let me end by saying… If you had a crush on a guy, and he asked you out, would you suddenly find him unattractive?… No, you wouldn't.
If a guy wasn't interested in you after you asked him out… Spoiler alert: >! It wasn't because you asked him out. !<
