Hello everyone, I’ve never done this before and this is kinda long so bare with me. I’ve been seeing this girl and we ran into this problem and I don’t know if I’m wrong or she over reacted. I work the night shift and I sometimes talk to this girl through the night while I work. I call her around 11 o’clock, about an hour before she her birthday because I wanted to bring in her birthday with her. She has told me before that she really values her birthday and wants the guy she is dating to make her feel special on that day. She said she wasn’t feeling my energy because I sighed when we were on the phone, I sigh a lot, and said she didn’t want to talk to me on the phone and hung up. Her birthday rolls in at 12 and I’m tied up doing some at work and couldn’t text happy birthday until 15 minutes after. During that time this guy that has been trying to get at her and that she used to date beat me to the punch. I wrote her a cute little happy birthday message and she replied with I should have called her and how this guy already beat me to the punch and how that shows real effort. She then proceeds to ignore me and cry the rest of the day claiming I kinda ruined her birthday. It’s been about a month and she still feels like I handled that situation poor, did I handle it poorly? Should I apologize?
