I (26m) have been single for some time now, maybe like 6 years and haven't had the best dating experience in the last 4. I'm quite introverted but I certainly don't lack social skills and I've been told that I'm good looking but I've still had a terrible dating life as of the last few years.
I rarely drink so clubs aren't a go to and I'm studying full time at a small aviation school so it's not really a place to make a move on anyone there. I'm a martial arts coach after I finish there which again is not a great place to ask people out.
I've been on tinder and bumble and what not and again I'm not really much of a social media person and don't fancy taking photos of myself all the time to keep up to date so it's really like finding hay in a needle stack.
I'm a genuine and caring caring person with a good sense of humour and I've met and made good connections with some really great people but when things start to get to the crunch and I express that I like them and I'm looking for something more than friendship, that's exactly where I get put.
I've experienced every typical excuse, "I'm not ready for a relationship" "I only see you as a friend" "it's not you, it's me" and I really don't buy it. Yeah I understand that not everyone I like will like me back but every time I've gotten close with someone, it all crashes down and I'm always left scratching my head thinking why.
I may be shy, but I am confident, I'm usually quite but I always speak my mind, I'm rarely rash and always understanding and I feel like nice guys really do finish last.
I don't really know where I'm going with this other than a rant, but some advice to getting out there and getting my mojo back would be good. Things that girls like to see in a guy that trigger attraction, where to find girls that actually want something a bit more than the meat grind of modern dating.
I've done the one night stand thing and it's really unsatisfying. I want someone to talk to at night, to plan travels together, think about the future with and I'm feeling very lost about it all
