Maybe I’m just the over thinker I know I am, but something has been bugging me.
So dude and I we’ve been dating for over a month and recently said that we’re both only talking to one another and want it that way, but nothing official yet. Right now we’ve seen each other 3 weekends in a row and it’s starting to seem like I’m the only one initiating these dates. I saw him this past Sunday and he asked ‘is there a way I can see you more?’ Which obviously made my heart flutter and I told him later down the line sure. He also texted me saying he missed me already. I invited him over this weekend because I’ll have the house to myself and he eluded to maybe having plans then also to curfew and he would have to stay the night this was followed by ‘probably free’.
So what I don’t get is why if you continue to validate my feelings and say you miss me, then why can’t you just say, yes I had plans prior, no I AM free, or I might have something going on but let me check and get back to you? I’m a planner and loathe feeling like someone doesn’t value my time enough to pin it down or give me a straight answer and I feel like he’ll probably go until day of to give me a yes or no. This is the 2nd instance, the first time I was concerned he wouldn’t show up for a date because he said ‘that should be fine’, should being the trigger for me.
TLDR; I’ve disclosed to dude several times that I need to know plans ahead of time because it’s a process for me to get free time, yet he can’t give me straight answers leaving me on the hook. I’m also the one who has initiated the past 3 dates.
