And by texting I mean like online communication?
My last relationship was very short lived and semi-long distance. In order to bridge the gap of not seeing each other often I participated in a lot of online communication with her such as messaging, video calling, etc. This was very often throughout the day and nearly everyday. It was cute at first but I quickly grew tired of it.
I'm in a new relationship now and we are able to see each other often. I barely communicate with her via the phone/internet except to maybe say "how are you today" occasionally or to make plans to meet up in person.
I like it better this way. I feel like a lot of people expect lots of communication on Facebook, text messaging, Snapchat, Instagram, whatever the platform is. I do have social media and I chat with people occasionally, but I don't want my significant other to feel like another person that I'm obligated to stay in constant contact with.
Does anybody else feel similarly in regards to not wanting to be "connected" 24/7 when you're away from your partner?
That being said, I do like to spend lots of time together in person. I just don't like talking via other means.
