I'm from the US and new to the dating game and was wondering what I'm (18M) supposed to say when asking someone out. (She's 17F if that matters) Should I be direct and off the bat say something like "Hey, I like you. Do you want to go out with me?" Am I suppoed to build it up and drop a cheesy one liner? Maybe something along the lines of "Hey, do you wanna do x on this day?" I'm feeling overwhelmed (maybe I'm overthinking it).
TLDR; What am I supposed to say when asking someone out?
