Guy [37M] is flaunting his wealth a lot to me [27F]. Is this a red flag?

Guy I have started talking to constantly references how much money he makes. He sends me pictures of expensive gadgets he has bought, talks about building and buying a home with a golf course and movie theater, tells me all about his travel exploits, etc.

I just turned 27, and I think he’s closer to 38, and so the age difference already makes me uncomfortable. I usually date within my age range (oldest I’ve ever seriously considered was 7 years), and so that adds a bit to my unease.

I’m financially stable and have about ~100k in savings from 8+ years of scrimping and investments. I’m not impressed with flashy spending, so that’s also a turn-off.

Is this a red flag?

Please please take no for an answer.

I went out with someone on a virtual FaceTime date. He was not my type at all, but I had a good conversation with him for like two hours, then ended. Told him immediately after that I wasn’t interested in being romantic, but maybe we could be friends. He says he’s not interested in that and asks for another chance. I say no, talk to him about it, and then he accepts…

…Until I wake up to a three-page text message from him asking for me to give him a shot, how I deserve his love, etc. I finally just coldly say I’m not interested and block his number. I am 26 and he is 30 so it’s not like we were fucking 16, where that kind of behavior is more normal!!!!

I feel so creeped out and nervous I got a stalker!!!! Anyone dating, please take no for an answer the first time!!!! ESPECIALLY if you’re out of college, you should know better. If someone says no, accept it. You won’t change their mind, and if they want to be with you, they’ll fucking message you!!!!
