Guy I have started talking to constantly references how much money he makes. He sends me pictures of expensive gadgets he has bought, talks about building and buying a home with a golf course and movie theater, tells me all about his travel exploits, etc.
I just turned 27, and I think he's closer to 38, and so the age difference already makes me uncomfortable. I usually date within my age range (oldest I've ever seriously considered was 7 years), and so that adds a bit to my unease.
I'm financially stable and have about ~100k in savings from 8+ years of scrimping and investments. I'm not impressed with flashy spending, so that's also a turn-off.
Is this a red flag?
