I’ve always had a habit of putting women on a pedestal.
- First it was my High School crush. Became friends with her, confessed that I liked her, she said she’d rather us be friends. So I remained friends until she moved for college. But I still think about her.
- Next it was my college crush. Matched with a girl on Tinder from my college but was too scared to make a move. After sleeping in the same bed 5 times on a trip to Montreal and me still too afraid to do anything, we became friends. After college she moved away and I still think about her.
There are many more, but those are the biggest two.
So now I’m 24 and this is beginning to get embarrassing that at night, when I’m lonely I still think about these people. I mean I never even dated them.
Anyone else have a similar problem? How do you stop thinking about people you never even really dated and wondering what if?
