I am a young black man, but my girlfriend is Hispanic. Anyway, I don't like getting haircuts. I get maybe 4 or 5 a year. I like more of a "wild hair" look. I am a software engineer who works from home, but she says not having a haircut makes me look "homeless". We live in an area with a lot of skateparks, so I skateboard and inline skate a lot, so all the sweat makes my hair look nappier.
She's Hispanic, so I know she is accustomed to seeing all those bald/clean cut Hispanic guys. I have nappy hair (like most blacks) and I prefer it longer. I cut my hair at times, but I only cut a little bit off every few months. The clean cut look just doesn't interest me. I don't even like shape ups that much. Before I started dating her, I dated mostly white women, and they never were bothered about my hair. With one girlfriend, I went 6 months without getting a haircut, and she never had an issue with it. But, my current girlfriend is Hispanic and seems to have an issue with it. She even wants to cut it herself.
How do I get her to quit nagging me about a haircut?
