How long is too long? (Asking for a phone number)

So I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts.

When talking to someone on OLD/SM how long do you typically wait to ask the other person for their number? Why do you wait the length of time you do?

With me(23F), I start to lose interest after 2 weeks without being asked for my number. It feels like the other person doesn't want to facetime/call/voicenote and aren't looking to move from the dating app.

I have asked for numbers(I don't wait to be asked always) and they usually give it then don't respond .
