How to date while living at home?

I'm a 24 year old guy. I live at home with my mom while in school. I feel insecure and embarrassed about living at home still.

Am I overthinking it? Or is a disadvantage when dating and trying to get to know someone?

I can try and move into an apartment if it's worth it, it would seriously undermine what little financial footing I currently have, though.
