I just started my 3rd year of med school and it's miserably busy.
I'd like to have sex as a way to de-stress and enjoy my 20s, but can't do the obligatory relationship stuff, like going out to events regularly, having 3-4 hour dates 2x/week etc. At the same time though, as a med student, I know the risks of having an FWB/fuck buddy. A lot of women come in to our clinics with herpes from these types of situations, which can be transmitted even with condoms. I don't want to end up like them.
I'd really just like to have exclusive sex with one person. It seems like most guys who opt for FWB-type relationships are not doing it for the reasons I am, but rather to increase their N-count or something gross like that. So they're not interested in convenient NSA 1-on-1 sex.
I've tried dating guys more seriously, but it always ends up crashing and burning within a month because of my insane schedule.
I don't think it's at all unreasonable to want to be exclusive in an FWB partnership when you think of it from a sexual health perspective. Seems like most people think it is though.
The other option I have is to have a make-out/outercourse buddy. We could do everything but PIV? That way I'd feel better about not being monogamous.
What's the best way of finding something this?
