Ladies, did you lose your attraction toward a guy or give up after you noticed that another girl flirted with him?

I'm not sure if it's just me. In general, I noticed that I stopped being attracted to a guy or I just gave up after another girl flirted with him. I don't know why. I guess I didn't appreciate that. If a heterosexual guy has female friends — especially pretty ones, I got turned off. Perhaps, I felt a little bit threatening.

I mean that's ok to have females as friends but why pretty ones? Sure, I'm friend with several married men but I'm not pretty. They always checked with their wives, and I'm sure they've set boundaries. They always prioritized their wives. I really appreciate the way they treated their wives. I've heard some other sad stories. Some guys would consider their girlfriends "jealous" or "insecure," but did they try to make them feel comfortable? If they love them, they wouldn't want to make them feel bad and they could set boundaries.

For example, a girl complimented on a guy I have feelings for on his picture. I just feel "ehh," and then I don't want to do anything with him anymore. I mean what is the point? She's pretty. She complimented on him. That implied she likes him too. I can't win against her.

I always got bothered every time I see any girls complimented on my crushes over social medias. I tried to look for an excuse to talk to a guy I like in class, but a girl kept sitting next to him and trying to get closer to him. She was able to talk to him. I just turned away and focused on my coursework instead.

Before you say try to go for below average guys, I still have the same results. Just because they are below average does NOT mean they can't get a date. They may have a great personality.

In the past, I thought my male friends liked me because they seemed to get comfortable around me and would initiate talking to me. Then they started to talk about other girls and explained how pretty they are. I know what they look like. They are gorgeous. They would flirt with them in the front of me. I realized that they saw me only as a friend and I'm not looking as good as those girls. Then I stopped making efforts to maintain our friendships.

I don't like to compete with other girls because I know they are going to win anyway. Do other ladies feel the same?
