At the beginning of September, I met someone who I had an intense connection with. We saw each other for about eight months.
During that time, I dealt with a lot of intense life stress, like my little brother getting schizophrenia. I told him I couldn’t give what he needed emotionally, but we continued to see each other and kiss (no sex.) He was desperately physically attracted to me, like he would get hard while talking to me on the phone, but I didn’t want to have sex when I wasn’t in a relationship, and I wasn’t in a place to be in one.
We taper off around January, but still see each other a few times each month. Around March, he becomes pretty distant, but still reaches out and sometimes flirts/is sweet. He keeps telling me we should wait until after the quarantine to see each other.
On March 26th, I FaceTimed him to see what was going on, and he told me how beautiful he thought I was and how much he missed me. Five hours later, I FaceTimed him again to see his dog and see if we could see each other, and he answered the phone shirtless and told me he had met someone else.
WHY would he wait so long to tell me? During the course of the time we spent together, I was always honest with him about everything. I get not telling someone the moment you meet someone, but WHY wait so long and keep me on the hook (potentially until after the quarantine if I had not pushed so much?)
I was pretty upset, and I asked him a bunch of stupid questions about her, like if he thought I was prettier than her (he does) and how old she was (she’s younger than me.)
It’s been over a month and I’m still thinking about him, his touch, and how much I want to be around him. But. I don’t understand. Why wouldn’t he tell me after like a week or two of being exclusive with her?!!!
