Anyone else have an avoidant attachment style when dating?

If and when a woman ever gives me the slightest hint of “pushing” me away or “disinterest” I back off completely. Completely.

I know, as of recently, that I have the avoidant attachment style. For those not sure what that is, google the term. Despite me knowing this I do not fully recognize how it impacts my behavior. I may barely recognize it.

For example I used the terms “pushing” and “disinterest” up above. What you have to understand is that according to my biased perception, it is “pushing” and “disinterest” however it reality, that may not be the other person’s intent. Another example, I don’t chase women ever. If they “play hard to get” (whatever the hell that is) I know that I likely would interpret that as a negative sign and I leave the woman alone.

I give up very, very easily OR as I see it, I perceive all pushback as an expression that they want me to go away.

I may be wrong to frame this as avoidant but I’m not sure. I mention this because someone texted me earlier and I can’t tell if she’s “playing hard to get” but I gave up after a couple mins.

tldr
Is anyone avoidant in their attachment style with their attempt at a dating life? Is anyone here coping with those qualities?

For men: Should online dating really be a "numbers game"?

First: It’s already a numbers game whether we like it or not.

Second: Does anyone else find this to be devastating and problematic?

Scenario: I message/like/swipe right on someone I really want to speak to. Then I don’t hear back from them. Then I message/like/swipe right on someone I feel less motivated by. Then I don’t hear back from them. Then I message/like/swipe right on someone I feel indifferent towards. Then I don’t hear back from them.

After all this I just message/like/swipe right on almost anyone.

This isn’t fair to them. It’s not exactly fair to ourselves either.

Should we be more cautious when treating this as a numbers game? It ends up creating a lot of noise for some women. It floods their inbox. It also positions some of us men in the situation of not being picky enough. I know, I know that some of us would get dramatically fewer dates if we didn’t play the numbers game but maybe that’s what we have to cope with (this includes me).
