Ladies, did you lose your attraction toward a guy or give up after you noticed that another girl flirted with him?

I’m not sure if it’s just me. In general, I noticed that I stopped being attracted to a guy or I just gave up after another girl flirted with him. I don’t know why. I guess I didn’t appreciate that. If a heterosexual guy has female friends — especially pretty ones, I got turned off. Perhaps, I felt a little bit threatening.

I mean that’s ok to have females as friends but why pretty ones? Sure, I’m friend with several married men but I’m not pretty. They always checked with their wives, and I’m sure they’ve set boundaries. They always prioritized their wives. I really appreciate the way they treated their wives. I’ve heard some other sad stories. Some guys would consider their girlfriends “jealous” or “insecure,” but did they try to make them feel comfortable? If they love them, they wouldn’t want to make them feel bad and they could set boundaries.

For example, a girl complimented on a guy I have feelings for on his picture. I just feel “ehh,” and then I don’t want to do anything with him anymore. I mean what is the point? She’s pretty. She complimented on him. That implied she likes him too. I can’t win against her.

I always got bothered every time I see any girls complimented on my crushes over social medias. I tried to look for an excuse to talk to a guy I like in class, but a girl kept sitting next to him and trying to get closer to him. She was able to talk to him. I just turned away and focused on my coursework instead.

Before you say try to go for below average guys, I still have the same results. Just because they are below average does NOT mean they can’t get a date. They may have a great personality.

In the past, I thought my male friends liked me because they seemed to get comfortable around me and would initiate talking to me. Then they started to talk about other girls and explained how pretty they are. I know what they look like. They are gorgeous. They would flirt with them in the front of me. I realized that they saw me only as a friend and I’m not looking as good as those girls. Then I stopped making efforts to maintain our friendships.

I don’t like to compete with other girls because I know they are going to win anyway. Do other ladies feel the same?

Okay, I realized that I’m possibly demisexual so how can I find a boyfriend as a demisexual?

I’ve been struggling with my sexuality for many years, and I felt like I didn’t fit in as I grew up. Even if I knew I’m straight, I still didn’t get a “Oh, there is a hot guy!!” concept when we were teenagers. I didn’t get why people would have a celebrity crush.

I’ve heard of demisexual term years ago, and I did my homework. At first, I thought it didn’t fit me until I learned that all demisexuals are different. Demisexuals can still be straight, gay, or have no gender preference. Demisexuals can still enjoy sex. They can have a very active sexual fantasy life.

Okay….so I’m a demisexual. I’d feel a sexual attraction as I developed an emotion bond. No wonder why I end up having feelings for my FWB of 3 years!! We are also friends, and we have a good conversation in general!! I’m currently only sexually attracted to him, but I doubt that we will get together. Oh, well.

Anyway, I generally don’t get the “flirting.” When someone expressed romantic or sexual interest in me, I often got anxious or uncomfortable. I’m also aware many people dislike the “friend zone,” but I like the idea of dating friends.

Demisexuals don’t waste their time on going on another date with someone unless they are sure absolutely attracted to. That sounds like me!! I was always uncertain about other guys. I remember one guy was interested in me, but I was uncomfortable. I felt that he got attached to me too quickly meanwhile I needed some time. It’s first time I’m absolutely attracted to someone. Yes, that’s my FWB but too bad I don’t think he wants to go out with me.

So… how do demisexuals get a relationship? Typocal dating methods may not work for them such as going on dates with multiple people and etc. Demisexual needs to have a friendship first, so dating apps wouldn’t be a good idea to make new friends. I remember guys came on dating subreddits and complained that girls joined Tinder to just make friends meanwhile they were looking for girlfriends or fun.
